The project “La Mia Mantia: Stories from the Countryside” was born in 2012 as the brainchild of Giulio Vita and Sara Fratini. It was inspired by their relocation to Amantea from Madrid.
It is a series of video interviews, articles, and illustrations about people living in rural parts of the country who make a living by working a trade with their own hands. The La Guarimba Film Festival association has made an effort to create a connection between the inhabitants of the countryside and its socio-cultural programming, integrating into this society in an active way.
The project, funded by the Association La Guarimba, was made available to everyone for free via YouTube and Vimeo.
It was shown in several Italian cities and abroad (San Francisco, Barcelona, Madrid).
